Sony has introduced function improving firmware updates for its full-frame cameras DSLR-A850 and DSLR-A900. The latest firmware versions for both cameras assure faster AF and widen both exposure compensation and exposure bracketing range. Autofocus is faster and more reactive than before because of this enhanced AF motor control.
The exposure value compensation has increased from the range ?3EV to ?5EV. This enhanced compensation range provides additional headroom while composing extremely low - or high -key images. The Exposure bracketing level has also increased from 4.0EV to 6.0EV. This broader range provides extra flexibility while capturing many frames at various exposure values.
As a further enhancement, it includes a new menu options that allows shutter to release without attached lens. All existing and new customer are recommended to install this upgrade that can be downloaded from the Sony website. The latest upgrade for the A850 and A900 DSLR is available free of charge.
