Hosted by industry veteran Kevin Kubota, the week-long adventure will energize photographic creativity through a series of photo excursions, comprehensive classroom instruction, and a personal connection with Italy’s unique cultural and culinary highlights
San Antonio, Texas – Imaging USA Expo, Booth # 1327 – January 18, 2011 – Kubota Image Tools, provider of photographer-empowering creative imaging tools, workflow-saving solutions and educational offerings for photographers of all levels, today announced details for its exclusive 2011 Secret Italy workshop, which will take attendees to several picturesque locations throughout Italy’s famed northern lakes region over a week-long cultural adventure running from October 2-8, 2011. Now in its sixth year, this annual Italian excursion is hosted by Kevin Kubota, celebrated wedding photographer, imaging educator and the Idea Guy behind Kubota Image Tools. This year’s workshop will be headquartered in one of the central historic villages that define the lakes region from which Kubota will guide daily photo excursions, hold classroom sessions and photo critiques. Attendees of the Imaging USA Expo (January 16-18, 2011, San Antonio, TX) can stop into the company’s booth (#1327) throughout the show to learn more about the Secret Italy workshop. Other interested photographers can find information on the registration page online at http://www.kubotaimagetools.com/secretitaly2011
The medieval settings of the northern Italy lakes region is a photographer’s paradise and Kevin, along with his wife and business partner Clare Kubota, have developed a cadre of amazing local guides to provide a one-of-a-kind Italian experience. Through a series of day-long photo excursions to Lake Como, Lake Orta, etc., the Kubotas will help attendees discover some of the most picturesque locations that surround the famed region. Hands-on image-making time will be augmented by brief daily classroom sessions dedicated to discussing assigned photo projects, creativity exercises, and programs to help improve digital editing and enhancement skills. Attendees are encouraged to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a guest and can bring a partner to join them on all but the classroom portions of the workshop.
“Clare and I have been photographing Italy for many years now, so for this sixth year of our Secret Italy workshop we really wanted to provide a fantastic adventure for attendees and their guests,” said Kubota. “For anyone that loves photography there is no place like Italy to invigorate their creative drive. Plus, it’s so fun to see those that didn’t necessarily come to participate in the photographic experience get excited to shoot away with their point and shoot cameras.”
Space for this exclusive adventure is limited to 20 attendees. The tuition for photographers interested in registering for the 6 night 7 day workshop is $2,995 and includes all lodging, ground transportation (attendees are responsible for their own airfare to Italy), most meals with the ubiquitous wine service, guided tours, and classroom instruction.. Any additional guests of attendees will be welcome to all aspects of the workshop with the exception of the classroom sessions and can take advantage of the offering at a reduced price of $2,695.
