Spot Invisible Evidence at a Crime Scene with the Blood Camera

type="html">

I’m sure you have seen the crime scenes on shows like Dexter or the CSI series where the characters put luminol on a suspicious area to reveal traces of blood.

Now imagine a prototype camera that can simply take a picture of the scene of the crime, and then scan for the blood stains without disturbing a single article. This is the magic of a prototype camera developed by Stephen Morgan, Michael Myrick, and colleagues of the University of South Carolina in Columbia.

I think you might expect to see this camera on your next crime scene drama. Just hope that you won’t ever have a good use for it.
