Canon?s WM-V1 microphone

It appears that Canon has a lot going for it at CES 2011, with the Canon Vixia G10.

This is the WM-V1 microphone for Canon cameras, and apparently designed just for that line. Yeah, that’s little weird, but if Canon makes it, I’m going to assume it is not Kodak accessible.

I don’t really know much about it except it doesn’t have an accessory shoe, and it mounts on the camera strap for recording sound up to 164 feet.

It will be on sale in May for a price of $250.
