13th January 2011: Cameras Underwater, the UK’s leading specialist in underwater photography, is delighted to be selling the new SeaLife SL980 LED photo light, helping you to discover the hidden beauty of the underwater world.
The new, powerful, 500 lumen SeaLife SL980 features the latest high tech LED lighting technology making discovering and capturing stunning underwater photos and videos so simple. The SL980 can be easily and quickly connected to your camera with its universal base and it has a flexible arm allowing for effortless aiming, enabling you to discover the secret splendour of magical sea creatures.
The straightforward and easy to use SL980 is operated by just one button and has no connection cables. The head may be removed from its mount and hand held, helping release the light in to small crevices and dark areas under the coral. There is no need to worry about dropping or rough handling the SeaLife LED light as it has a rubber hood for added shock protection.
The permanent light of the SL980, allows close up colours to come alive with its wide angle beam that evenly illuminates your subject without any hot spots or over powering. There are eight different light mode settings and a flash cancelation mode – the light dims for 2 seconds when detecting external flash. The new light from SeaLife also includes a power overdrive, which increases light power to 600 lumens for 2 minutes. The new SeaLife LED light is also great for night dives as the light enables the camera to accurately auto focus in low light conditions.
