Nikon has updated the firmware of their newest DSLR, releasing version 1.01 firmware for the D7000. Only one thing is fixed with the new firmware: “Bright spots were sometimes noticeable with live view mode or movie recording of especially dark scenes or subjects. Occurrence of this issue has been reduced”. You can download the firmware here.
Several D7000 users have complained about exactly that issue on Nikon forums around the web, so it’s nice to see it taken care of that quickly. For us D90 users, we’re still waiting for the very first firmware. Which most likely will never happen.
