Today, Joby announced the release of their latest product, GorillaMobile for iPhone 4. This device offers the functionality of the GorillaPod tripod, enabling iPhone users to get more creative in using their phones. Unlike previous Gorillamobile iPhone accessories, which used a full case and an integrated mounting clip on the back of the case, the iPhone 4 model uses a snap-on bumper case. This hard plastic bumper case provided iPhone users with unhindered use of the front and back facing cameras and the camera flash.
Furthermore, the new case design delivers iPhone protection and allows for easy tripod mounting through a sliding rail mount. The new mounting clip is attachable in landscape or portrait form. There’s also a camera adapter clip included for use with a tripod to handle conventional cameras and camcorders that weigh at least 12 ounces.
In addition to this, the GorillaMobile for iPhone 4 also functions as a hands-free stand, allowing iPhone owners to make FaceTime calls and watch videos easily. This iPhone 4 model is comprised of three legs made up of articulated joints for freedom of motion. So, each segment has thermoplastic rubber rings for grip and the three legs have feet of the same substance for traction. Thus, the GorillaMobile for iPhone 4 is available for $39.95 at Joby.com.
