Sony has introduced its new video camera, Professional PMW-F3 camcorder, which is based on a Super 35mm sensor and PL mount technology. This camcorder is especially designed for television, commercials, music promos and budget features as an affordable means of Super 35mm shooting, according to Sony.
Furthermore, there are two possible configurations of the PMW-F3: PMW-F3L body only and PMW-F3K with PL lens kit including 35/50/85mm T2.0 fixed focal length lenses. Shipments for this camcorder are scheduled to begin this January but there is no official word concerning price at this time.
